There are many things that we never forget to do during the day and that turn into a routine spontaneously. The simplest is brushing our teeth when we wake up in the morning or checking e-mails to our phone… This list can be extended with other habits, of course. Drinking a glass of water in the morning after mouth cleaning is one of my biggest routines for years. However, when it comes to my clients, I find that drinking water is often forgotten. Don’t do it, nice people … Especially when we are starting summer, it is so neglected that I wanted to focus on this issue. One should not wait for thirst or after exercise to consume water frequently. Because it has much more important and vital tasks than just providing hydration. If you do not drink enough water, your joints may not function properly, brain functions may have difficulty performing their functions, blood pressure may increase or decrease. If you have observed such problems in your body, I recommend that you keep track of how much water you drink daily. However, if you forget to consume water, you can start with a bottle that will always be in front of you. You can also get support from apps that will remind you to drink water and download to your phone. So let’s get to why you should drink water with 8 items.

1- Helps saliva formation

Saliva formation is very important for breaking down solid foods and for oral health. Also, saliva production may tend to decrease as a result of age or certain medications. If your mouth is drying out faster than usual, this is a sign that you should consume water.

2- Regulates body temperature

It is imperative not to be dehydrated to maintain body temperature. During exercise or in hot environments, your body loses water through sweat. If the water lost in this way cannot be eaten, body temperature rises. At this point, consuming water regularly helps to keep body temperature within normal ranges.

3- Increases physical performance

In fact, we do not drink water during exercise just because we sweat. Providing hydration also affects strength and endurance. Exercising without enough water can have serious consequences such as low blood pressure and hyperthermia.

4- Helps prevent constipation

The way to prevent constipation is not only to consume fiber foods. It is also necessary to drink enough water for the bowel movements to function properly.

5- Provides support for nutrient absorption

In addition to helping food break down, water also helps dissolve vitamins, minerals and other nutrients from food.

6- Generally prevents dehydration

Dehydration is the result of the body not having enough water. Severe dehydration can even lead to consequences such as kidney failure and seizures.

7- Makes the skin healthier

Consuming enough water helps keep the skin moist and also supports collagen production.

8- Protects cognitive functions

The biggest key to keeping cognitive functions in shape is definitely drinking water… A study shows that drinking enough water helps to focus, stay awake and have a strong memory.
