Practical yogurt dessert recipe | Life

From my recipe book:

I am preparing the practical dessert, which is one of the first recipes in my notebook, in its most classic form. Without boiling the syrup, we just mix it and let the sugar melt.

Service: In a 28 cm square baking dish

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 30-35 minutes

With the size of a medium size Turkish coffee cup;

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups of yogurt
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 6 fincan un
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon butter + 1 tablespoon flour, for the baking dish

  • With a 200 ml glass of water;
  • 3.5 cups sugar
  • 4.5 glasses of water

  • 2 tablespoons of pistachio powder
  • 100 g cream

Bring the egg and yogurt to room temperature 30 minutes in advance. Spread butter and flour the bottom and sides of the baking dish, shake off the excess flour (preliminary preparations will make our work easier). Beat eggs and sugar for about 3-4 minutes until white foams form. Add yogurt and oil and mix. While sifting the flour and baking powder and adding it to the liquid mixture, beat for another 2-3 minutes with the mixer until it becomes homogeneous. Pour the dough into the mold and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 30-35 minutes in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 10 minutes. If a toothpick comes out clean when you insert it, it is cooked. While the cake is baking in the oven, for the syrup, take the water and sugar in a deep bowl and mix until the sugar dissolves (we don’t boil the syrup! we just stir until the sugar dissolves). Take the cake out of the oven and pour the cold syrup over it for 2-3 minutes after the initial temperature has passed (reserve 1 glass of syrup for pouring before serving). When our dessert is completely cold, we put it in the refrigerator (it tastes better when cold). Before serving, cut it into slices and pour the remaining syrup over it. Serve with pistachios and cream.

May the days when we will hug our loved ones come soon, stay with health, health and love…
