Macaroons Recipe | Life

  • 1.5 cups of flour (210gr)
  • 1/2 glass of sugar (100gr)
  • 150 gr almonds
  • 1/2 cup
  • Butter (115gr)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3-5 drops of macaroon essence

The oven is set to 180 ° C. Almonds are crumbled completely in a food processor, along with their skins (the peel can be removed if desired). At room temperature, the softened butter and sugar are whisked with a hand mixer until it becomes creamy. Continue mixing, add egg whites and continue whisking. When it becomes a homogeneous cream, sifted flour, baking powder, salt, chopped almonds and macaroon essence are added and mixed with a wooden spoon. With the help of a spoon, put the cookie mortar in clusters on a baking tray with greaseproof paper and bake until the tops are browned. After it cools down, it is served with the apricot jam grains.
