Disabled employment | Sound of Life

Hello to everyone. I would like to start with the anniversary of many events in the month we are in. I once again wish God’s mercy on our intellectuals who lost their lives in the brutal attack on the Madımak Hotel in Sivas on July 2, 1993, and express my condolences to their relatives. I hope these treacherous attacks will not happen to us again. And of course, the anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt against our country on July 15, carried out both from the air and from the ground. Actually, there is a lot to be said about this subject, but let me tell you this much: Atatürk founded and ruled this Republic under very difficult conditions. At this point, the attempt of the FETO terrorist organization on July 15 was a dark day for our country, and I wish mercy to all our martyrs who were martyred for this cause, and get well soon to our veterans. They wrote the names of heroes in gold letters.

Let’s come to the subject of July… You know that the pandemic process continues, we need to speed up on vaccination, the more we get vaccinated, the more immunity we will gain and we will end the epidemic. In this period, when the restrictions are lifted, the Presidency is taking new steps in terms of employment, and I follow the developments in this regard closely. In particular, I see that the aid for the disabled is increasing day by day. Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, stated that more than 1500 liras were provided to employers in a month for each hired worker and said, “We cover the insurance premium and tax of the workers to be employed.”

In his written statement, Minister Bilgin stated that the state pays the tax on all insurance premiums and wages of each hired worker. Bilgin said, “We cover the insurance premiums and taxes of the workers to be employed. Of the support that exceeds 1500 lira over the current minimum wage, approximately 1350 liras is insurance premium and 200 liras is tax support. Support normally valid for 12 months; It is applied as 18 months for women, young people between the ages of 18-25 and the disabled.

Noting that they provide more insurance premium support for additional employment in the manufacturing and informatics sectors, Bilgin stated that the insurance premium support in these sectors is more than 3 thousand 500 liras per month in order to protect and increase employment, and the total amount of support is approximately 3 thousand 700 liras. Bilgin reminded that the implementation period of the premium and tax support for additional employment brought into force with the Law No. 7103, which came into force in 2018, ended on 31.12.2020, but the support period was extended until 31.12.2022 with the decision of the President. Minister Bilgin said, “We are always with our employees and employers, together with other incentives and support practices, in order to protect and increase employment.”

I wish everyone a happy holiday and a healthy month…
