Cannelloni with spinach curd | Life



Italian cuisine; Cannelloni is the name given to the tube-shaped pasta variety in Italian cuisine. They are filled with a mixture of minced meat or cheese and baked in tomato sauce. B├ęchamel sauce goes very well with minced meat and tomato sauce with cheese. This time, I used the tomato sauce I made in the summer season in cannelloni, which I prepared with spinach and curd filling. Below, I wrote the recipe as I prepared it in two separate oven dishes sized to accommodate cannelloni. You can also do it in one large tray.

Cooking time: 30 + 10 minutes

Materials:

With the classic 200 ml water glass size;

For the inner filling;

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1 large onion, diced

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella or fresh cheddar

  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper

For the tomato sauce;

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 – 3 cloves of garlic, crushed

  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 7 – 8 sprigs of basil, washed and finely chopped

Over;

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella or fresh cheddar

  • 250 gr makarna cannelloni

Cannelloni with spinach curd:

* For inner filling; Wash the spinach and drain the excess water and chop finely. Take the olive oil into the pan, add the chopped onion and fry it on an open fire until it is soft. Add the spinach and fry it, stirring occasionally, until it drains the water and absorbs completely. After turning off the heat and waiting until the spinach cools, add the other filling materials and mix. Put the spinach filling in a squeezing bag and set aside.

* For tomato sauce; Put the olive oil and crushed garlic in a medium saucepan. Cook for 1 – 2 minutes (be careful not to burn) until the aroma of the garlic turns into oil over medium heat, add the tomato puree and cook for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens. Turn off the heat and add pepper, salt and basil.

* Spread 2 – 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce to cover the bottom of the ovenware. Fill the cannelloni with spinach mortar and place them in a row over the tomato sauce in the ovenware. Pour the tomato sauce on it and cover it with baking paper and then foil.

* Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. After removing the foil and baking paper, sprinkle it on a glass of mozzarella or fresh cheddar and return to the oven, cook for 10 more minutes until the cheeses are melted and browned.
